Sydney Part Deux: Culinary Edition

Day One
Enjoying my first day in Sydney at Bondi beach with family from Jakarta. Been here before on last winter and promised to myself I will be back here again on Summer. Alhamdulillah it happens and the best part of it is I could shared the beautiful afternoon with my beloved family. Couldn't ask for more and I finally met my twins and had a wonderful 10 days with them. We end the day with a fine dining at Hurricane's Grill, everyone recommends me to try their ribs menu and they're right, it tastes really good. But actually it doesn't have Halal license on the restaurant, and they also serve Pork Ribs by request, so maybe that was my first and the last time I tried the Ribs menu. Why? Because I don't eat Pork or any kind of food that may contains pork.  Not just because I am a Muslim, but I know it's not healthy at all.
Menu of the day:
1. Garlic Prawns
2. Full Rack Beef Ribs
All from @Hurricane's grill
I was wearing dress from Ally / hat from Quicksilver / Havaianas flip flops.

Day Two
From my four days visit in Sydney, only the first and the last day are sun-friendly, otherwise it was raining all day. But it didn't stopped me to woke up in the morning and had a BIG breakfast at Fish Market near our apartment in Sydney. It only 15 minutes walking distance, so not a big problem for us. They sell many kind of seafood, a bit pricey for 'Market', but they serving food start early in the morning and it also fair for the price in Sydney, where everything is expensive. On day two, we only spend time around Darling Harbour and some kids attraction. Didn't have much time to shopping, but still I got new sunglasses,  rain boots (from my last minutes window shopping), a pair of ballet shoes, and a dress. Hmm.. Did I say I don't have time to shopping? ;)
Menu of the day:
1.Assorted Seafood:Grilled Salmon, Oyster with Mozzarella Cheese and Oyster with Chopped Beef
2.Seaweed Salad
3.Garlic Prawns (AGAIN!!)
All from @Fish Market
and all those food are for my breakfast. Nom.. nom.. nom.. No wonder I gain two kilos every time I went to Sydney for holiday :)
I was wearing sweat shirt from Kmart / Jeans-Leggings from Cotton On / Little Things She Needs flat shoes / Quicksilver hat

Day Three
Went to Manly beach for the first time and took the famous Manly Ferry. The beach itself isn't as beautiful as Bondi Beach, but the Ferry and enjoying beautiful Sydney's scenery from the Ferry are a MUST! Don't forget to catch the ferry near sunset time and enjoy the sunset from the ferry. That was beautiful. I also took a strolled to Birkenhead Point, a place with many factory outlet from various brand (mostly Australian Brand), but sadly I didn't got anything there. Then finished the day with visiting Chinatown Night Market on Dixon Street and ate delicious Takoyaki, my favorite food of all time. If you don't know what Takoyaki is, it's a Japanese street food, with ball shape and usually with octopus, prawn or smoked beef inside the balls and it even more delicious with fish flakes, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise and wasabi depending on your preference.  It's a salty food and suitable as appetizer in Japanese restaurant.
Menu of the day:
1. Takoyaki with Octopus @Chinatown Night Market
I was wearing unbranded top and blazer / Jeans-Leggings from Cotton On

Day Four
On the last day I don't have any proper photo to post on, only my new rain boots pattern and my menu at Pancake on The Rocks. Because I spend almost all day at Paddy's market bought some gifts for our family in Indonesia. It's like our culture to buy everyone's gifts whenever we're traveling abroad and it always happens in my traveling history with family, our last day is always dedicated to buy gifts for our friend and family in our motherland, and it sometimes could excess our holiday budget. Then we closed our holiday by dinner at Pancake on The Rocks, this one is my recommendation to my fam. I really love Devil's Delight! who can resist chocolate pancake with extra chocolate ice cream and strawberries on top? No one could. And good news, they will opening soon in Gold Coast! Yey! Come come fat fatty me.. :)
Menu of the day:
1. Devil's Delight
2. Seafood Crepes
3. Nachos
All from @Pancake on The Rocks
XOXO,
Chitra.
